Cancer has a 90-Day Waiting Period. If a Member is diagnosed with Cancer within the first 90 days, that Cancer diagnosis will never be eligible for sharing.
If a Member has been diagnosed with Cancer within the last 5 years of the Members active date, the Member will never have Cancer Sharing Eligibility for the life of their Program.
For Member’s that had a Cancer diagnosis more than 5 years prior to the active date, expenses for the diagnosis and/or treatment of a Member’s newly diagnosed Cancer, which is unrelated to any prior Cancer, are Eligible for Sharing after the 90-Day Waiting Period.
Recurring Cancer or metastasis of a prior Cancer, even if the prior Cancer was more than 5 years before the Members Active Date, is Not Eligible for Sharing.
